Historically, I have some ancestry that dates back to the time of the signing of the 13th amendment, which formally abolished slavery in the United States.
My Granpa, “ Pa Pa” George Marshall, was a historian who taught American History at the Freeport High-school in Pennsylvania where my dad, Dennis G. Marshall went to school and grew up. George Marshall’s father was Thomas Hindman Marshall , who built the historical Marshall house and grandfather to my dad Dennis G. Marshall.
